LAGOS POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS FAKE ARMY CAPTAIN FOR ALLEGED ARMED ROBBERY

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended an alleged fake Army Captain, Andy Teddy Edwards, 39,  for suspected armed robbery in the State.

According to the Lagos police, the detectives arrested the suspected fake soldier, while parading himself as a modeling agent.

His modus operandi was to invite ladies for audition and then rob them of their cars and valuables at gunpoint. 

The Network gathered that he was arrested following a painstaking investigation that was launched after one of his victims reported the robbery of her Lexus RX330 SUV. 

The Police Public Relations Officer, of the Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement on August 28, stated that further investigation led to the recovery of one Ford Edge SUV with registration number KRD 276 EG.

“Also, one sewing machine, one POS machine with six SIM cards, two pairs of military camouflage uniforms, and one number plate – AFL 469 GD, in the suspect’s house were also retrieved

“While the investigation is being rounded off, the owner of the Ford SUV is hereby urged to come forward to clarification. The suspect would be arraigned after the investigation

“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, once again assures the good people of Lagos State of the unwavering commitment of officers and men of the Command towards annihilation of crime and criminality in the state.”
