About three persons were injured, on Thursday, when a twin explosion rocked a rally organized by the All Progressiives Congress at the Rumuwoji Playground in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The injured comprising two women and a man were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Publicity Secretary of the APC, Darlington Nwauju, who confirmed the incident, condemned it and described it as ‘unfortunate.
The Network gathered that the twin explosions occurred when three explosive devices, suspected to be dynamite, went off simultaneously.
The deafening sound caused panic at the Ojukwu Field, venue of the APC rally for Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of the State.
The Spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Iringe-Koko, promised to revert to our correspondent’s inquiry on the issue.
