Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday visited Anambra State to canvass for support ahead of the Party’s primaries for the 2023 presidency.
Osinbajo during the visit held hours of closed door meeting with the delegates of the state chapter of the APC, in Awka the state capital.
Journalists were barred from the Conference Hall of Finotel, venue of the meeting between the Vice President and the delegates.
He also refused to answer questions from newsmen who thronged the venue.
Osinbajo, who arrived the Hotel, around 10:58am had entered the meeting with APC delegates.
Journalists were barred from the meeting to pave way for the talks. A member of the House of Assembly, who served as the Master of Ceremony, ordered the journalists to leave for the ”family discussion” to commence.
The outcome of the meeting was not made known to the public.
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo had immediately, after meeting left for Enugu state.
Earlier on his arrival to the state, the Vice President was received by the state Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri.
Osinbajo’s visit is believed to have coincided with the two-day working visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Ebonyi State.
