Iworiso-Markson hails Dickson at 57

A former Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Bayelsa State, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, has felicitated with the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson on his 57th birthday.

Iworiso-Markson in a statement released in Yenagoa, said Dickson means so many things to different people but to him, a man of great vision and intellect who is always miles ahead of his contemporaries.

He used the statement to again thank him for the opportunity to serve Bayelsa State, first as Chief Press Secretary and later as the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Information and Orientation.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP), candidate for Ogbia Federal Constituency election, stated that the eight years of working with Dickson who is now the Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District prepared him for the current position he is seeking at the National Assembly.

Iworiso-Markson commended Dickson for his service to the state and the country as well a humanity, stressing that history will be kind to him because of his good deeds.

“The entire Ijaw Nation is as usual celebrating with the Ofrumapepe, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson because of his good deeds, his uncommon love for his people and his passion for service.

“No doubt, history will be fair to him. He did his best as governor of Bayelsa State for eight years by laying the very strong foundation that his successor is today building on. He was and remains a man with great vision and intellect.

“We can go to sleep as Ijaw people, knowing that we have a man like Senator Dickson, a strong and respected voice at the National Assembly.

“The rare privilege I had serving our dear state was courtesy of him and that is what has prepared me alongside my private sector experience to serve my people at the House of Representatives.

“I pray God to grant him good health and many years of wisdom to continue to serve our beloved state and country”, Iworiso-Markson said.
