News Investigators/ The Ministry of Interior says it will adopt the implementation of full electronic communication for all official engagements from Dec. 1.
This is contained in a statement by Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary in the ministry, on Thursday in Abuja.
Mrs Ajani explained that the digital transformation was in line with the Digitalisation Reform Pillar of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP 2025).
According to her, effective Dec.1, the ministry will no longer accept manual submission of letters, mails, or any form of physical correspondence.
“All official documents and requests must be submitted electronically through the ministry’s approved digital platforms.
“The designated channels for electronic communication are Email Portal; Interior Correspondence Platform https://interas.interior.gov.ng.
“Others are Website Submission, that is the ministry’s official website (https://www.interior.gov.ng)
(Submission accessible via backend after registration).”
The permanent secretary said that the transition underscored the ministry’s commitment to strengthening service delivery and improving transparency.
She also said that it served as a supportive drive to the federal government’s broader drive towards a fully digitalised public service.
Mrs Ajani urged all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), organisations, partners, and members of the public to comply fully with this directive to ensure smooth and efficient processing of all communications and requests with the ministry.
