The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 Presidential election, Mr Peter Obi, is not dwelling on the scathing attack on him by the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
Obi said said Soludo is aware of the fact that he has solutions to the nations problems and he would consult him to render help.
The LP Presidential Candidate spoke during a session with Nigerian Guild of Editors in Lagos on Monday.
“He (Soludo) knows, and he has the solution, so I need to consult him to help me,” he said.
Soludo had attacked Obi in a lengthy article on Monday, claiming that he would not win the presidential election.
Soludo who also condemned Obi’s claim of making huge savings for Anambra State during his tenure, said that governments exist to save lives and not to save money.
Also the former Anambra Governor seemed to have foreclosed supporting any other candidate who emerges victory in the next year elections.
It is his contention that it is improper to engage an incompetent person to rule and then allow him to hire a competent person to assist him.
“This is the problem of Nigeria. Will you hire somebody who’s not competent to run your company, then allow the person to hire another person who’s competent to help him?
“You don’t go and get a conductor and say the conductor should be driving and let the driver be at the back and be advising him.
“We want the driver to be on the driver seat and let the conductor be in the position of the conductor.”
Obi also promised to adopt the Bangladesh 35 per cent Affirmative Action model, to make it possible for 50 per cent of Nigerian women to be included in its National Productivity Programme.
