The Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Wednesday, officially submitted his completed Expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of May 30, primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Bakare, while speaking to journalists after submitting his forms said he has trust in God to emerge victorious in the APC primaries.
According to the Pastor, every other thing is in the hands of the party adding that he has complied with the already laid down rules leading to the primaries.
He stated that as long as one is vying for the position and is in the race, it’s important that you to comply with the rules of the game which he has done.
He said what was left now was for the party and the organisers of the primaries to set the stage in motion, explaining that he is ready and by the grace of God, one is expected to emerge the winner.
He added that his chances of winning the primaries are as bright as that of any other aspirant, insisting that he is qualified in age and experience.
“What next is in the hands of the party, and the organizers of the screening and everything before the primary we have comply with all the rules.
“And anyone that participates in a race must run according to the rules. We have fulfilled our own side is now for the party to set the stage and to tell us what next, and they will determine the next action.
“What I know for now, isn’t the only screening and after screening for those who may have appeal, they will appeal and thereafter there will be primary and by the grace of God, we have decided to run according to the rules and we we expect to win by special grace.
“My chances are as bright as that of any person. I’m eminently qualified either age or experience or everything that counts in this race. And I trust God that I will emerge the winner”. He said.
