••SHOT VIGILANTE TRYING TO RESCUE VICTIM
Gunmen on Sunday, invaded the residence of a Catholic Reverend Father identified as Rev. Father Osia, in Ikabigbo community in Etsako West local government of Edo State and abducted him.
They also shot a vigilante before taking away their victim.
The Network gathered that the Rev. Father Osia was preparing for Sunday Mass when the gunmen invaded the the premises and abducted him.
It was gathered that the Kidnappers who realized that the members of the vigilante group, were following them, shot one of them.
The victim was rushed to a hospital at Auchi but was referred to Irrua Specialist Hospital for treatment.
It was learned that the community vigilante group are still combing the bush to rescue the priest.
The traditional rulers of the community, Bramah Alegeh, confirmed the ugly development, adding that efforts were ongoing to get the priest released.
According to him, the police, army and the local vigilante group are working together combing the bush to ensure the release of the abducted priest.
