A prominent politician in Yenagoa, Hon Odeinyefa Ogbolosinga has been assasinated in Yenagoa.
The Network gathered that the gunmen numbering about three trailed him to the Mechanic village off Tonbia Roundabout, Yenagoa, where they shot him.
Ogbolosingah was a People’s Democratic. Party aspirant for House of Assembly in Yenagoa.
It was gathered that the gunmen trailed to the busy mechanic village in the afternoon and shot him in the head at close range.
A source said that the bullets also hit two other persons.
However, the Network could not confirm whether the other two victims died from the gunshot injuries or not.
Spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Commans, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the attack on the telephone to the Network but could not give details of the assassination.
Gunmen had killed the paramount ruler of Kalaba community in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state, Francis Kolubo, and the Community Development Committee (CDC) chairman, Oburo Samuel in June 24, 2022.
It was learnt that the late Ogbolosingah hails from the besieged community.
