Gunmen on Wednesday opened fire on some revenue collectors at Uselu-Nahor community in Uhunmwonde local government of Edo killing three of them on the spot.
A source told The Network that the killing is a fallout of a lingering leadership dispute in the community.
It was learnt that among the three killed was the Chief Security Officer of the Community whose name was given as Osasu.
The source said that the three men were collecting fees at Ahor Kara Park when the assailants shot them to death.
It was learnt that the residents of the community and shop owners at the location hurriedly closed their shops and fled the area avoid possible reprisal attack.
The Spokesman of Edo State Police Command, Mr Kongtons Bello, confirmed the incident to journalists but could not give the details.
