Governor Yahaya Appoints Prof. Muazu Shehu As New Head Of Civil Service

News Investigators/ The governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Professor Muazu Shehu as the new Head of the Civil Service, Gombe State.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was conveyed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, following the retirement of the former Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, who exited service upon attaining the mandatory 35 years in public service.

A seasoned public servant and accomplished academic, Professor Muazu Shehu brings to the office vast administrative experience, technical expertise and a strong reform-oriented mindset.

Until his new appointment, Professor Muazu Shehu served as Permanent Secretary, General Duties, and Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor, positions in which he distinguished himself through professionalism, diligence, and exceptional capacity for policy coordination and strategic administration.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya urged the new Head of Civil Service to sustain and deepen the ongoing reforms in the state’s public service, while promoting professionalism, disciplineand innovation across all MDAs.

The Governor also commended the outgoing Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Ahmed Kasimu Abdullahi, for his meritorious and impactful service to the state, wishing him a peaceful and fulfilling retirement.
