News Investigators/ Former Military Head of State, retired Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, has condoled with the family, government, people of Kwara, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and Nigerians over the death of retired Maj.-Gen. Abdullahi Mohammed.
Mohammed, who served as the Chief of Staff to former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Yar’Adua, died at the age of 86.
This is contained in a statement issued by Abubakar, in Kano on Wednesday.
Abubakar described the late General as a disciplined, loyal, and patriotic officer who made distinguished contributions to Nigeria’s stability and governance.
Abubakar said that Mohammed brought uncommon sense of duty, order, humility, and integrity to public service, leaving a lasting imprint on the institutions he served.
Abubakar described the deceased as a man of exemplary character who combined the precision of a soldier with the prudence of a statesman.
He prayed that God forgives Mohammed’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest, while also urging the family to bear the loss with fortitude.
