FLOOD SWEEPS JSS FEMALE STUDENT AWAY IN ONDO 

Heavy rainfall on Tuesday has carried away a female junior student of Mount Carmel Girls School, Ikare Akoko, at the headquarters of the Ikare Akoko Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The student, Motunrayo John, was carried away by the flood which was caused by the Tuesday downpour in Semusemu area of the community in Ondo State.

It was gathered that the little girl stepped into the flood and lost control leading to her slip into the raging flood.

The Network gathered that the school principal, Mrs. Ajoke Asiwaju has immidiately alerted the police Division in Ikare.

The Divisional Police Officer in Ikare Akoko, Mr. Olatujoye Akinwande, confirmed the incident adding that a search and rescue operation had commenced.
