FIRE GUTS KANO STATE POLICE COMMAND HEADQUARTERS

The headquarters of the Kano State Police Command, Bompai, Nasarawa Local Government Area, has been gutted by fire on Saturday.

The Network gathered that the fire affected the entire upper floor of the one-storey building and destroyed several offices except that of the state Police Commissioner, Mamman Dauda.

The Provost Office, that of the Deputy Commissioner of police and others were damaged by the inferno which was said to have started around 2pm.

The men of the State fire service were promptly deployed to fight the fire and and put it out to prevent it from causing further damage.

Although several documents are said to be burnt by the fire, there was report of loss of life of injuries from the incident.  

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained  as neither the police command nor the Fire service has made any comment on it.
