FEC MEMBERS MOURN PRINCE BOLA AJIBOLA, AS OSINBAJO PRESIDES OVER MEETING

The Federal Executive Council, FEC, on Wednesday observed a minute silent in honour of the late former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Prince Bola Ajibola, who died On Sunday at the age of 89, before the commencement of proceedings.

Ajibola was former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), from 1984-1985, former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, and one-time judge at the International Court of Justice at the Hague,

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo acted in place of the President Mohammadu Buhari, who was aw on official assignment in Saudi Arabia.

President Buhari traveled to Madinah, Saudi Arabia for official duties and is expected to spend eight days on his final official trip to the kingdom as the President of Nigeria.

Osibanjo l presided over the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, which commenced at about 10am.

Those in attendance are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.

Others at the council meeting include a few cabinet ministers and some presidential aides.
