FCT POLICE DISCLOSES IDENTITIES OF VICTIMS OF ABUJA ABDUCTION 

The Federal Capital Territory Command of the Nigerian Police has revealed the identities of the victims of the gun men attack in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, Josephine Adeh, a Deputy Superintendent of Police revealed the names of the victims as  Mr Benjamin Ogundare (the deceased) his wife Janet Ogundare and Goodluck Ogundare, a cousin.

Suspected kidnappers had killed Ogundare and abducted his family members at Ushafa Community of  Bwari Area Bwari Area Council, Abuja.

The Network gathered that the gunmen abducted the wife and cousin of the deceased to an unknown location.

The deceased was said to have struggled with the gunmen and was killed in the process.

The Police Spokesperson said that Benjamin Ogundare was shot and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

According to her, security operatives have commenced a search for the abductees.

She said, “On 11/01/2023 at about 06:00 the Control Room received a distress call that Armed Hoodlums , stormed Ushafa Village via the Bwari  Area Council of the Territory, the information was relayed to the Bwari Divisional Police Headquarters and other Security Apparatus of the command around the area mobilizing Tactical and intelligence assets to the scene. 

“Upon sighting the officers, the hoodlums took to their heels having shot one Benjamin Ogundare and abducted the duo of Goodluck Ogundare and Janet Ogundare. 

“The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead by a doctor on call. An aggressive manhunt and rescue mission has been launched on the tails of the hoodlums while the investigation continues.”
