The family of spectacular gospel singer Sammie Okposo has officially confirmed his death.
The family said in the statement by Hector Okposo, that he died in the early hours of Friday, November 25.
The statement was silent on the cause of the death of the 51 year old.
The family stated that burial arrangement arrangement would be made known soon.
“It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to God that I announced the passing of our beloved, husband, father, brother, uncle and minister of God Sammie Okposo.
“Sammie slept and went to be with the lord on the morning of Friday, November 25, 2022. More details about the burial will be communicated soon. We are consoled because we know that he is with Jesus singing with angels. We kindly request that the family is allowed to grieve peacefully at this time.” Hector said
There are reports that he was billed to perform alongside other gospel singers, Eben, Chuks Praise, Joy Favour and Victor Edet at the Outpouring Assembly International in Calabar on Friday, November 25 to 27 but died on the morning of the event.
