EQUATORIAL GUINEA-GHANA BOUND FLIGHT IN EMERGENCY LANDING IN LAGOS, One Passenger Dies

A chartered flight from Malabo, Equatorial Guinea which was on its way to Accra, Ghana has made an emergency landing at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

The Network gathered that the flight took off from Malabo and was on its way to Ghana when a health issue among the passengers forced the pilot identified as Waruru C N, to land in Lagos for urgent medical attention on Monday night.

It was gathered that one of the passengers suddenly became so seriously  sick that the pilot had to seeking emergency medical attention for the agonizing passenger in Lagos.

The sick passenger was said to be convulsing in the aircraft which made the pilot to make the decision to land in Lagos.

However, efforts made by FAAN authorities to get urgent treatment for the elderly man were unsuccessful as he died before doctors could reach him.

He was confirmed by dead by doctors inside the aircraft.

It was gathered that the passengers refused the airport authorities’ demand to have the corpse taken to the mortuary.

The Ghana-bound aircraft was released to take off around 7:30 am for Ghana.

It was learnt that the aircraft was carrying 27 passengers and five crew members when it was forced to make the emergency landing in Lagos.

It was further explained that the passengers were a high-powered delegation from Equatorial Guinea for a meeting with the President of Ghana.

Airport sources could not State the exact disease or medical condition that resulted in the death of the passenger whose identity was not given.
