National Working Committee and the National Executive Council of the Labour Party have confirmed Chijoke Edeoga, as the party’s flagbearer for the Enugu State governorship candidate in the March 18, 2023 governorship and House of Assembly elections.
The National Chairman of Labour Party, Barr. Julius Abure, declared unequivocally, on Tuesday, that the party’s governorship candidate for Saturday’s election in Enugu State is Hon.Barr. Chijoke Edeoga.
Abure in a statement said was aware of attempts by some ambitious governorship candidates, trying to tap into the “anointing” of the Obidients/Labour Party Candidate Hon.Barr, Chijioke Edeoga by trying to de-market the character of EDEOGA, instead of selling themselves.
He reiterated that the LP candidate for the governorship race in Enugu State is Edeoga adding that the party has no other candidate or candidates in any other individual except the one accepted by the Labour Party and the Obi-Datti and Obidient group and their teeming party supporters across the country.
He warned the general public to ignore and disregard statements or moves by candidates of other political parties to harvest where they did not sow.
“For the umpteenth time, we want to reiterate that in Enugu State, the Obidients do not have ANY partnership with anybody or party and directs all our Enugu State Obidients and teeming party supporters to disregard any statements or moves by candidates of other political parties to harvest where they did not sow.
“Our candidate is Hon. Barrister Chijioke Edeoga. Vote for him and all Labour Party Candidates for the House of Assembly massively on our mantra for Saturday.
“Vote LP from Top To Bottom. We must reclaim our state and country. Forward Ever, Backwards Never.” Barr. Julius Abure, stated.
