Former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, have been apprehended for alleged conspiracy to arrange the travel of a child for planned harvest of organs in the UK.
The Network gathered that the former number three man in the country and his wife have been charged for conspiracy to arrange the travel of the child for the purpose of organ harvest.
The Independent of UK reported that the arrests were confirmed by the Metropolitan Police after an investigation by its Special Crime team.
It was learnt that Ekweremadu and his wife, now in custody, will appear before an Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court later today.
It was stated that the Met Police moved in when they got intelligence about the potential offence under under modern slavery legislation in May 2022.
The police has taken custody of the child said to be 17 while making efforts to provide support for the child.
