…AS SEN. ABUBAKAR BAGUDU PRESENTS APC FLAG TO OYEBANJI
•••INUAGURATES CAMPAIGN COUNCIL
The Ekiti State branch of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday concluded it’s gubernatorial primary election with Mr. Biodun Oyebanji emerging as the Governorship candidate for the 2023 guber election.
This was confirmed by the National Organising Secretary of the Suleiman Argungun his speech delivered after the excercise.
He said the party was able to conduct a rancor-free Governorship Primary Election where Mr. Biodun Oyebanji emerged as the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Candidate without any of the aspirants sustaining any sorts of action against his triumph at the court or election petition tribunal.
He thanked the leadership of the party, especially, the President Muhammadu Buhari, the National, Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu the National Secretary Sen. Iyiola Omisore, His Excellency Kayode Fayemi and His Excellency Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, for their influence in the peaceful conduct of the excercise.
“Today, we as a party are commencing the last-mile journey to retaining the Government of Ekiti State under the direction, influence, and purposeful leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the all Progressives Congress (APC).
“Recall, Your Excellencies, Distinguished Ladies and Gentlement, that the Party had conducted a rancor-free Governorship Primary Election where Mr. Biodun Oyebanji emerged as the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Candidate without any of the aspirants sustaining any sorts of action against his triumph at the
“Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal nor at any court of law for that matter.
“On President Muhammadu Buhari, assisted by the National, Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu the National Secretary Sen. Iyiola Omisore, His Excellency Kayode Fayemi and His Excellency Sen. Abubakar Bagudu presented the flag to the candidate in addition to expressing his delight.
“This is indicative of the cherished democratic ethos of our great Party and suggestive of our determination to go into the Ekiti State Gubernatorial
“Election and, any other Election for that matter, with a united front that will ensure the party’s victory at the poll.” He said.
According to him, the winner of the primary has been handed over the APC, flag to represent the party in the gubernatorial election in 2023.
He stated that the presentation of the flag was done by President Muhammadu Buhari, assisted by the National, Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and the leadership of the party.
He stated that what the APC has demonstrated it’s an indicative of the cherished democratic ethos for which the party is known adding that it’s suggestive of their determination to go into the Ekiti State Gubernatorial without fear.
According to him, the party is ready to go into election or any other election with a united front that would ensure the party’s victory at the poll.
He stressed the party’s commitment to respecting constitutionally defined internal process in its primary elections, adding that the party is also determined, and have, indeed, triggered a deliberate policy of mainstreaming the inclusion of women and youth membership in whatever democratic undertakings that the party would embark upon as a party.
He said it was through such policy, that the party was able to put together the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Campaign Council which was inaugurated.
According to him, the National Organizing Secretary would facilitate the triumph of the party at the Ekiti Governorship polls come June, 18, 2022.
He stated that their confidence was further reinforced by the legacy of service and delivery of quality projects the outgoing Governor of Ekiti State has imprinted on the ground.
“In addition to our party’s commitment to respecting constitutionally defineg internal process in our Primary Elections, we are also determined, and have, indeed, triggered a deliberate policy of mainstreaming the inclusion of our women and youth membership in whatever democratic undertakings we are to embark upon as a party.
“This policy is exemplified in the composition of the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Campaign Council being inaugurated this morning. I am, therefore, pleased to inform this gathering that aside from the general membership of the Council, more women have been added to the membership of the Council to specially
represent the women’s wing.
“The youth of this party are respected and accorded due recognition because of their roles in our great Party’s activities. As done with the women’s wing, we have added more numbers of our youths to the Campaign Council as a reflection of our philosophy of accomplishing our Party’s objectives through the contributions and energy of all identifiable stakeholders within the Party. Collectively, all these wings working together under the direction of the
