Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, grilled  the immediate former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom.

He presented himself for investigation when he honoured the commission’s invitation extended to him.

The former Benue Governor is currently in the custody of the commission to answer questions over his actions as the executive governor of the state.

It was gathered that the former Governor drove into the Makurdi zonal office of the agency, which is located at Alor Gordon street in the state capital at exactly 10:08am Tuesday.

According to sources, the ex-governor went straight into the building, housing the commission and declared: I’m not a coward to run away from EFCC,” he said.

The Principal Special Assistant on Special Duties, and the former governor’s media aide, Terver Akase, and Abraham Kwanhgu, were said to be with him.

According to sources, Ortom may not go today as he was still sighted in the premises as of 12:35am.
