A ‘drunk’ Corporal identified as Abayomi Edun, has crushed the
Director of Finance of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre
Brig General Ogbole Audu James to death.
A Defence source said that the corporal ran his car into the general end inflicted grave injuries on him.
It was gathered that the general was confirmed dead at the Medical Centre of the NAFRC where he was rushed to.
The Network gathered that the General was strolling to his residence within the Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, when the soldier, who was said to be driving wildly knocked him down.
The office of the Provost Marshal has detained the errant corporal.
Premium Times reported that the late “Brigadier General James was a senior member of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps. He had bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting as well as a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
“He was a fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and held memberships of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Nigerian Institute of Directors (MIoD), Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACTI), and the National Institute (mni).
