DELTA APC Expels Deputy Senate President, Omo-Agege

The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, was on Monday expelled from the All Progressives Congress in Delta State.

The Ward Executive of Orogun Ward 2 in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State took the decision to expel Omo-Agege for alleged anti party activities and other offences.

The Delta State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, in a communique, accused Omo-Agege of greedily and illegally hijacking the party from the ward to the state level and personally handpicked the National Publicity Secretary, without due consultations.

The letter of expulsion was signed by the Chairman, Ulebor Isaac, and Secretary, Inana Michael, and 23 others, on behalf of the State Executive Committee of the Delta APC.

They unanimously resolved and adopted the expulsion of Omo-Agege as a member of the party by the executive committee of the Orogun ward and Ughelli North Local Government chapter.

Omo-Agege, was the Governorship Candidate of the APC in the Delta State in the March 18, gubernatorial election won the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sheriff Oborevwori.

Recall that the Chairperson of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Lauretta Onochie, was last week suspended for alleged anti-party activities in Delta State.
