The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Diocese, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, has condenmed the ruling All Progressives Congress, and its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election.
Bishop Kaigama described APC Lt’s Muslim-Muslim ticket as unfortunate adding that Nigeria is not ripe enough to have a President and his Vice president from the same faith.
Archbishop Kaigama stressed that the action is more of politics of exclusion and make others look like strangers
He said it amounts to unfairness and unjust and religious insensitivity in a secular society like Nigerians.
“When you decide that only one religion will produce the major actors, excluding others who will become like strangers, it would not be fair and just.
“For the sake of religious sensitivity in a place like Nigeria, it is good that we have a balance so that we become like one big family,” he said.
