BUHARI SWEARS-IN SIX NEW PERM SECS, PRESIDES OVER FEC

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday swore-in six newly appointed Federal permanent Secretaries.

The ceremony came before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Those sworn-in are Adam Mahmud Kambari( Borno State), Esuabana Nko Asanye ( Cross River State), Lamuwa Adamu Ibrahim (Gombe), Yakubu Adam Kofar-Mata (Kano State) , Oloruntola Olufemi Micheal (Ogun State) and Richard Pheelangwah(Taraba State).

Buhari congratulated the new permanent Secretaries on their appointment.

The Head of Civil service of the Federation,  Yemi-Esan, while answering questions from State House Correspondents, charged the new permanent Secretaries to give their best in the discharge of their official duties.

Responding to their appointments, the Permanent secretaries commended the process that led to their appointment, assured that they would discharge their duties diligently.

Those in attendance at the commencement of meeting at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa Abuja, were the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; Head of the Federal Civil Service, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan; and the National Security Council (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rted).

Others were the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed; Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Information and Culture Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; and that of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mohammed Musa Bello.

Also in attendance were the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Ali Pantami; Power, Abubakar Aliyu; Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige.
