Justice Olukayode Ariwoola has been sworn-in as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.
Ariwoola took over the new CJN position following the resignation of Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad on health grounds.
The Network gathered that the short-l ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the State House.
The President commended Tanko for his contributions to the nation’s judiciary.
In honour of the retired CJN, the President conferred on him GCON (Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger).
