President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the Progressive Governors Forum at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The APC governors were led to the meeting by Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State.
The Network gathered that the meeting might not be unconnected with the heightened search for a running mate for the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The APC is failing a serious dilemma over the choice of a running mate for its Presidential candidate.
The Christian Association of Nigeria is kicking against moves to pick a Muslim running mate for Tinubu who is also a Muslim.
In attendance at the meeting were Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno, Nasir El-Rufai, (Kaduna), Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, (Jigawa), Abdullahi Sule, Nasarawa, Simon Lalong, Plateau, Yahaya Bello, Kogi, and Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.
