President Muhammadu Buhari abruptly left the presidential campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress in Bauchi State without delivering his speech on Monday.
The President was in Bauchi to lead the APC presidential and governorship campaign rally and to present, the party’s Presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to the people.
The rally took a sudden unexpected turn at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, venue when the light went off and and the sound system became dysfunctional.
The technical team could not restore the power failure at the stadium.
The National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, was making his speech when the black out occurred at the stadium and the President left the rally with those in his entourage.
Buhari and the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman of the APC were on the podium to address the Bauchi crowd when the sound system malfunctioned.
The President who was disappointed and angry at the situation waited for about 10 minutes and could only move around the stadium to wave to the disappointed crowd.
The President arrived Bauchi around 10:25 and paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Adamu before going to the campaign venue.
The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Governor, Bala Mohammed, his APC counterpart Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar among Others received him.
