Buhari Holds Closed-Door Meeting With APC National Chairmanship Aspirants 


President Mohammadu Buhari on Wednesday night held a closed-door  meeting with all National Chairmanship aspirants of the All Progressives Congress.
Details of the meeting were not released to the media.


 The aspirants are Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa), Tanko Al’Makura (Nasarawa State), George Akume (Benue State), Abdul-laziz  Yari,  (Niger State), Saliu Mustapha (Kwara), Mohammed Sani-Musa (Niger), and Muhammed Eksu (Niger).


Also at the meeting were the National Chairman of Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning committee of the APC and Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni, the Chief of Staff to the President,  Prof Ibrahim Gambari and Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha.


The Network gathered that the engagement was part of the efforts by the national leadership of the party to ensure the conduct of a successful national convention on Saturday.


The meeting follows the President’s meeting with governors elected under the platform of the party where it was resolved that they would work together as a family.
