•••Orders Security Agents To Fish out Killers
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday described the murder of the traditional ruler of Obudi-Agwa community in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Ignitus Asor, and others as a heinous act of inhumanity.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement on Tuesday said the President has ordered security agencies in Imo State to discreetly investigate the dastardly act.
According to him, Buhari condemned the killing of the traditional ruler, and ordered all the the security agencies in Imo State to ensure that the perpetrators face the full wrath of the law
He commiserated with family, friends, and people of Obudi-Agwa community, as well as all those affected by the attacks.
The President prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
He commended the spirited efforts by the Imo State Government at improving the security situation just as he urged all Imo residents and citizens to fully support the collective efforts of the state actors and members of the local community to keep everyone safe.
Gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network of the Independent People of Biafra on Monday killed a prominent traditional ruler His Royal Highness, Eze (Dr.) Ignatius Asor (fcin), the Udi 1 of Obudi Agwa in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
The gunmen who invaded the palace in four vehicles and two motorcycles with a lady also killed two of his aides.
The Gunmen were also said to have shot another person at the office of the community vigilante, Agwa.
The Network investigation revealed that the hoodlums went with a woman ostensibly to launch a complaint to gain access to the palace of the unsuspecting monarch and his aides.
Spokesman of the Imo State Police Command, Michael Abattam, confirmed the dastardly act in a statement on Monday night.
