President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of a new Postmaster General/Chief Executive Officer for the Nigerian Postal Service
The new Postmaster General who is appointed for an initial term of five years is Hon. Adepoju Adeyemi Sunday.
Adepoju an accountant represented Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives from 2011 – 2015 and 2015 – 2019.
The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isah Pantami recommended his appointment.
The Spokesman to the Minister, Uwa Suleiman, said in a statement on Wednesday that the appointment takes immediate effect.
Pantami had earlier approved the appointment of Mr Bulus Samuila Yakubu as acting Post Master General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer, NIPOST on September 22 following the suspension of Dr. Ismail Adebayo Adewusi from office.
