BPP D-G Felicitates Tinubu On Birthday, Reaffirms Commitment To Procurement Reforms

News Investigators/ Adebowale Adedokun, Director-General,  Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), has extended warm felicitations to President Bola Tinubu on the occasion of his birthday.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, Mr Adedokun described Tinubu as a “visionary leader and architect of a modern, fiscally responsible Nigeria”.

He said the president’s Renewed Hope agenda had provided a transformative blueprint for the bureau’s operations.

He said that the administration’s focus on institutional reforms had empowered the BPP to strengthen its oversight functions, ensuring transparency and value for money in public spending.

“As we celebrate Mr President today, we are reminded of the high standards of accountability he has set for the nation.

“At the bureau, we remain deeply inspired by the president’s commitment to transparency, which serves as the bedrock of our efforts to modernise Nigeria’s procurement systems.”

The BPP boss said the bureau was intensifying its digital transition drive in line with the administration’s reform agenda.

According to him, under the guidance of the Presidency, the bureau has recently streamlined procurement processes to improve economic resilience and global competitiveness

Mr Adedokun said that the bureau’s mandate of maximising value for every Naira spent aligned with the president’s mandate to eliminate waste and ensure that public resources directly benefit the Nigerian people.

He prayed for the president’s continued good health and wisdom in steering the affairs of the nation.

“May Almighty God grant your excellency the divine strength to steer our great nation towards a future of enduring prosperity,” he said.

Mr Adedokun also reaffirmed the bureau’s commitment to supporting the successful implementation of the Federal Government’s reform agenda.

He encouraged stakeholders and members of the public to visit the bureau’s portal to track ongoing procurement reforms, noting the transition towards a paperless and more accessible governance system.
