News Investigators/ George Muoghalu, the Labour Party (LP), candidate for the Nov. 8 governorship election in Anambra, has encouraged students with special needs to believe in their potentials.
Mr Muoghalu gave the advice on Wednesday when he paid a visit to the Special School for the Deaf in Onitsha.
He said that disability is not inability, as he reminded them that every child deserves equal opportunity to achieve his/her dream.
He assured the children and management of the school that education for children with special needs would not be neglected under his watch, if elected the next governor of the state.
He emphasised that inclusive education is a critical part of his recovery agenda for Anambra.
“My vision is to build a society where no one is left behind, regardless of their condition or background.
“We must build an Anambra where every child, regardless of circumstance, can thrive and contribute meaningfully to our collective future,”.
Responding, the priest in-charge of the school, Ven. Dan Uche commended Muoghalu for his compassion, humility and consistent concern for the less privileged in society.
He described the visit as a clear demonstration of Muoghalu’s leadership philosophy that places people at the centre of governance.
The visibly excited students presented songs to welcome, their visitor.
