BAYELSA GUBER: ABDUCTED INEC STAFF RELEASED

The Independent National Electoral Commission’s official abducted in Amassoma Jetty, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state has been released.

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for Bayelsa State, Mr Obo Effanga l announced the released of the female kidnapped staff in Yenagoa.

The Network gathered that the kidnappers took away the BVAS machine in custody of the lady.

The lady  a supervisory presiding officer for Sagbama Ward 6 told the INEC REC that the kidnappers did not touch the money for the presiding officers and other staff in her custody as they dropped her off in Yenagoa. 

INEC had reported on the eve of the election that the SPO assigned to  registration area- 06 (Ossioma) in Sagbama LGA was abducted while waiting  to board  a boat at Amassoma Jetty.
