The mother of A.A Zaura, the Kano Central senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been abducted by gunmen in the early hours of Monday.
The old woman, Hajia Laure Mai-Kunu, was abuducted during the Muslims’ call to prayer Monday morning.
The Chairman of Ungogo Local Government, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat, said security agents alerted him of the incident.
The Kano State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Abdullahi confirmed the incident and added that the aged woman was abducted at about 2am in the morning when the gunmen stormed her residence in Zaura village.
According to him, the men of the Command have been deployed to the area in search of the woman and rescue her and arrest the perpetrators.
