APC EXPELS FORMER GOV DANJUMA GOJE FOR ALLEGED ANTY PARTY ACTIVITIES

A former Governor of Gombe State, Senator Danjuma Goje has been expelled by the Kashere ward of the All Progressives Congress in the State for alleged anti-party activities.

Goje represents Gombe Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly on the platform of the APC.

Goje was expelled alongside the senator representing Gombe South, Bulus Amos and the member representing Yalmatu Deba Federal Constituency, Yunusa Abubakar.

A five man panel of investigation had been set up by the party to investigate the alleged an anti party activities of the affected party leaders which was mandated to prevent a report within two weeks,

The Chairman of the Ward, Tanimu Abdullahi who announced the decision said that Goje and others did not convincingly defend the allegation of anti-party against them.

According to him, the former Governor failed to attend the flag off of the party’s campaign rally in Gombe by the National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.

He was also said to have failed to attend the Tinubu-Shettima presidential rally in Gombe among others.

He said that the activities violated “Article 21, Section A, subsection ii, iii, vi and vii of the APC constitution, saying that, “Senator Muhammadu Goje is no longer a member of the APC in Kashere ward, and by extension, in Gombe State and Nigeria.”

“In the course of investigations, the committee has deliberated on the following allegations against Senator Goje: Failure to attend the flag-off of the Gombe State APC campaign rally in Gombe which was led by the National Chairman of our great party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

“Failure to attend the Tinubu-Shettima presidential rally in Gombe which was attended by the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima

“Failure to attend all APC campaign rallies and tours in Gombe, including the one in his own Gombe Central senatorial zone, Akko federal constituency, state assembly and ward unit.”
