The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday, urged Nigerians to disregard news reports on the purported resignation of it’s National Legal Adviser, Barr. Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq, describing it as false and misleading.
Denying the alleged resignation, the APC, clarified on its verified Twitter handle @OFFICIALNIG, that the reports circulating on some media platforms that it’s legal adviser has resigned was not correct.
It added that El-Marzuq still remains the National Legal Adviser of the party.
“Our attention has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating on some media platforms that our National Legal Adviser has resigned.
“Barr. Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq is, and remains, the National Legal Adviser of the APC.
“We urge the general public to kindly disregard.” The twitte said.
Meanwhile the party has congratulated the Senator Kashim SHETTIMA on his emergence as the running mate to its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2023 presidential general elections.
APC described SHETTIMA as competent, capable, reliable and able choice.
