The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, deployed some of its operatives to the Eagle Square venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Special Convention in Abuja.
The officials who went to the convention ground in branded operational vests attracted the attention of top party officials, delegates and journalists.
A top official of the commission says that the EFCC operatives were deployed to monitor movement of funds at the venue.
The source said that the commission believes that politicians could use funds for contingencies even on the convention ground.
The operatives are seen taking strategic positions on the convention ground.
Operatives of the commission also monitored the PDP Special Convention in Abuja on May 28, following media reports about use of large some of money to buy votes.
The Spokesman of the EFCC, Mr Wilson Uwujaren confirmed the presence of the operatives at the convention ground to the Network.
