Barely two weeks after Rev Father Christopher Odia was kidnapped and killed, two Catholic Priests have again been kidnapped by Gunmen in Edo state.
The latest kidnap victims are Rev. Father Udo of St Patrick’s Catholic church Uromi and Rev. Father Philemon Oboh of St Joseph Retreat Center Ugboha both in the state.
The priests were abducted on Saturday along the Benin-Auchi road while travelling to Uromi in Esan South-East Local Government Area.
The two incidents have thrown the churches into panic and worry over the safety of clergymen.
It could not be confirmed as of report time whether the gunmen or kidnappers have established contact with the Churches where the clergymen worship .
A Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Christopher Odia was kidnapped two weeks ago at Ikabigbo community in Etsako West Local Government Area of thw State.
He was later found dead in a bush a few hours after his abduction.
