The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, on Tuesday, ordered that withdrawal of the Commissioner of Police on election duty in Adamawa State, Mohammed Barde, with immediate effect.
The IGP also ordered the Commissioner of Police in charge of Gombe State, CP Etim Equa, to immediately move to Adamawa State for election security.
Adamawa State supplementary governorship election is yet-to-be concluded.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made the disclosure while briefing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.
A birding to him, the police leadership has received calls to redeploy Barde as a fall out of the declaration of Aisha Dahiru as the winner of the supplementary election.
