News Investigators/ All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamawa Chapter, has condemned the Act of thugry against the National Vice Chairman North-East, Salihu Mustapha by thugs at party’s North- East consultative forum meeting in Gombe.
Idris Shuaibu, State Chairman of the party stated this at the news conference in Yola on Thursday.
He said the thugs were smuggled in as delegates at the venue of the meeting on June 15 by some elements in the party.
“We condemned the Act of thugry meted against our son, the National Vice Chairman, North-East, Mustapha by thugs smuggled in as delegates at the venue of the meeting tagged APC North -East consultative forum.
“We adopted the communiqué read by the National Vice Chairman being the true position of the APC Governors Forum, National Assembly Members, National Working Committee and also the APC Adamawa chapter.
“We endorsed President Bola Tinubu as a sole candidate of our party for the purpose of nomination come 2027.
“We wish to make it also clear that the act perpetrated by the thugs at the venue has nothing to do with the said meeting.
“We therefore urged all members of the party to disregard it and hold on to the position taken at the meeting,” he said.
Mr Shauibu further called on the party members to remain united and committed for the progress of the party in the state and country at large.
