Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has given indication that the crisis rocking the Peoples’ Democratic Party,PDP at the National level will soon be resolved.
The Governor gave this indication amidst excitement at a stakeholders’ meeting held at Government House, Makurdi Monday.
According to him, discussions are ongoing at the national level to resolve all issues.
Ortom added that there is no leadership crisis in the State chapter of the party.
He said, “At the State leadership, we are not divided. Issues that tend to divide us, we are tackling them at the national level. We are discussing and will overcome them.
“We are committed to winning election in 2023 and that is the purpose for this meeting. It is meant to strategize on how we can win in 2023.
“We are running out of time. Presidential elections hold in February 25 and two(2) weeks after, the Governorship election.
“We have done alot of planning and hooefully,the PDP will remain in office”.
On the health of the party Governorship candidate Titus Uba, Governor Ortom who put a call to him during the meeting, intimated that he is in a good condition.
According to him, Uba is willing to return home for campaigns but, he advised him to stay and recuperate well till the new year 2023.
