The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate,
Baba-Ahmed is the founder of the elite Baze University in Abuja, which was established in 2011.
He represented Kaduna North in the Senate under the Congress for Progressives Change between 2011and 2012. He was also a member of the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007.
According to information posted on the website of the university Baba-Ahmed has four degrees.
They include a BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of Maiduguri, an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
Baba-Ahmed completed his PhD at the University of Westminster in 2006.
He did his National Youth Service at the University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Ogun state, as Projects Co-Ordinator, Baze Research and Data Services Ltd, and as Officer II in the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, Lagos.
His work experience shows that the running mate worked as a Banking Officer with First Bank of Nigeria Plc from July 1997 to Dec 1998.
Later, he became the Managing Director of Baze Research and Data Services Ltd in July 1999 – January 2003.
