… SAYS NIGERIANS CAN HAVE ATTACK OVER HIS AMBITION
The Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, has told Nigerians to expect news from him.
Emefiele made the comment while speaking with State House correspondents after a meeting with President Buhari on Thursday.
The CBN Governor met with the President following a directive to all public office holders to resign their appointments immediately on Thursday.
Emefiele had gone to court to challenge Section 84 (12), which restrains serving cabinet members from contesting for elective offices without resigning. The court refused his request.
When asked to react to the Circular directing political office holders immediately, he said, “There is no news now, but there will be news. You heard me, I said there is no news but there will be news.”
The CBN Governor also said that he was having fun about the anxiety generated by his foray into partisan politics in the country
He said that Nigerians should have attack attack which is good for them while he derives his fun.
“Let them have heart attack. It’s good to have heart attack. I am having a lot of fun.” He said
Emefiele had rejected a Presidential expression of interest and nomination form of the All Progressives Congress procured by the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria saying he would like to buy the form with his money.
