2023: ADB President, Adesina, Joins Race for Presidency

The President of the African Development Bank, Akinwunmi Adesina, may have joined the long expanding list of Presidential aspirants in the country.

A coalition of 28 groups comprising women bodies, youths, the physically challenged reportedly contributed the N100 million to procure the expression of interest and nomination form of all Progressives Congress for the ADB boss.

Adesina who performed in superlative terms as Minister of Agriculture under former President Goodluck Jonathan met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja last week.

It was gathered that the coalition, known as One Nigeria Group, under the leadership of one Mohammed Saleh on Saturday, picked the copies of his Expression of Interest and nomination forms for Adesina at the International Conference Center where the APC is currently selling the forms.

The PUNCH reported that the form which was sighted bore the name of the ADB boss.
