… Primaries Now Holds February 19
The All Progressives Congress has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of the 2022 Governorship Primary Election in Osun State.
The National Secretary, APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe, said in a statement on Thursday that the Governorship primaries will hold on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
He said that the party’s decision was in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines.
He said that the party has fixed the sale of the forms at N22.5 million; the nomination form at N20 million and the expression of interest form at N2.5million.
Akpanudoedehe stated further that female aspirants and physically challenged aspirants are to pay 50% of the prescribed fees.
He added the party also fixed February 9, 2022 as the last day for the submission of collected forms and accompanying documents at the National Secretariat)
The schedule of activities include: screening of aspirants on February, 10, 2022, publication of claims and objections on 12th February 12, 2022, and screening appeals on February 15, 2022
He said that election appeal has been fixed for Tuesday February 22, 2022.
