Gun men in Military Uniforms invade Ogbia, embark on mass arrest of PDP Coordinators, agents

…..Election Materials for Nembe Bassambiri Diverted to Sandfield, Bassambiri 

Gunmen dressed in Military Uniforms have invaded some wards in Ogbia Local Government area of the State and embarked on mass intimidation and arrest of agents and coordinator of the PDP.

The men in Military uniforms, suspected to be impostors, ordered agents and electorates on election voting to leave the venue but some of them refused.

An agent of the PDP, told newsmen that at Kolo community in Ogbia area, that “Army men just arrived in kolo now arresting our unit Coordinators and taking over our pay points. We need urgent intervention, please”.

At Nembe Bassambiri, All the materials for the seven wards have been hijacked by the gunmen attached to the APC.  A voter told newsmen that “Up till  now no materials nor Inec officials in these wards. Let the state REC do something about it. Ward11 Agent reporting from Okoroba community in Nembe LGA”.

Another agent of the PDP declared that “The INEC election monitors should be questioned why the materials have not left Basambiri for the various wards”.

At Ward 10, Unit 2 of Oguama1 in Nembe, armed APC members at about 11.28am stopped voting process and demanded for the serial numbers of BIVAS being used for voting.

It was learnt that at Bassambiri, Ward 11,12 and 13 (Mini, Ikensi and Oluasiri) electoral materials and personnel were loaded into boats at Nembe Bassambiri waterfront, without photographs taken whike the boats were stopped from leaving for their destinations. 

It was gathered that the materials were rather offloaded at the back of Nembe Bassambiri while the officials were forced to do their bidding at various locations. 

The personnel and materials were said to be taken to residences of too chieftains of the APC and Sandfield area of the volatile Nembe Bassambiri,

The perpetrators of the electoral fraud were later forced to relocate to other areas of Sandfield by the l sound of airforce plane on monitoring duty in the area.
