Folarin Declares 2023 Gubernatorial Ambition

…….Senator Balogun, Labour Party Members in 25 LGAs Decamp to APC

The All Progressives Congress, (APC) has warned suspected thugs of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) to desist henceforth from disrupting the existing peace in Oyo state.

Senator Teslim Folarin, representing Oyo South Senatorial District issued the warning at his formal declaration for 2023 Governorship election and collapse of the Labour Party, (LP) into the APC at the Party secretariat, Oke-Ado in ibadan Southwest local government area on Tuesday.

He warned that any attempt to unleash violence on any of its members would be resisted.

Folarin decried the state of insecurity in all the local government areas in the state.

The lawmaker who made known his intention to contest the governorship election in 2023 known after wid consultation urged its members to always put up resistance whenever suspected PDP thugs launch attack on them.

According to him, Makinde has failed the state in all the sectors. The security situation in the state is terrible. There is killings all over places. It is high time Governor Makinde calls his mad dogs to order.

Our members should henceforth resist violence attack from the PDP suspected thugs.

Makinde has nothing to offer the state than to impoverished it. The evidence is what we are seeing now. The honey moon is over. Makinde is a tenant not one of us and his tenancy is over.

The dark period is over in APC. We are formidable family. As you can see, all the party chieftains are here. Their presence is a testament to the fact that the good old days is back in APC.

After wider consultations and meetings with all the stakeholders in all the 33 local government areas, I am now making myself available to contest the 2023 governorship election.

Speaking in the same vein, Senator Kola Balogun who has formally decamped to the APC described himself as returnee to the APC.

He accused the PDP administration of wastage, especially the idea of running the street lights on diesel.

According to him, I am not a decampee but a returnee. I am back home. I am back to where I rightly belong.

Also, the event witnessed the collapse of the Labour Party into the APC in the state.

Receiving the decampees, the state chairman of the party, Isaac Omodewu said the party is now in a good stead to wrest power from the PDP.
