The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives aspirant for Ihiala Federal Constituency, Barr. Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam has described the news of his disqualification by the party as fake.

Maduakolam told our Correspondent in Awka that he was never disqualified and had no business going to appeal.

“I was never invited to any PDP appeal panel and nobody can disqualify me without hearing from me. Contrary to the petition my name is in the ward register and my party card bears the party register number.

“Informing my ward that I am contesting is not a ground for my disqualification. The electoral act stipulates that the only ground for disqualification must relate to constitution.

“There are about two or three of such fake reports flying around. They ifferent reasons for disqualification and different lists of purportedly disqualified persons. They have no foundation in reality,” Maduakolam said.

He said that one of the documents flying around had one of the signatory sign in 2020 while the secretary did not apend his signature to the fake document.

According to him, under normal circumstance, it is the secretary that should prepare the report.

He said that he is enjoying the low profile the fake reports have given him, so the sponsors of the report will stop planning against him for the party primary.

“Delegates and stakesholders from my constituency cannot be swayed by any sponsored negative media report. They have individually and collectively agreed to patner with us in the ‘CLEAN” Ihiala project.

“I am sure we are all going to work together for my victory at the party primary. The dubious publication was probably done to obtain balance from those who paid to have me disqualified. They will realise the scam after primaries,” Maduakolam said.
